...Pancakes cooked over an open fire in the woods, the mist burning off the lake in the early morning sunrise, campfires with games, ghost stories and s'mores, wildflowers blooming in Hidden Valley, hundreds of Monarch butterflies along the trails, the amazing amount of wildlife and a chance to see some bears, the sound of the wind through The Pines, the look of joy on a child's face as they receive a ribbon for a horse show performance, the best riding ever, and seeing long time "Ranch" friends and making new ones.
Year after year, these are the things that keep us coming back to Wolf Lake Ranch.
Located in western Michigan, bordering the Manistee National Forest, WLR offers a unique family vacation that allows you to take a step back and relax. Enjoy clean air, clear Wolf Lake and majestic forests which have virtually remained the same since the Ranch was established in 1945. This isn't your every day guest ranch, the horses are great, the food delicious, and the staff welcomes you like a good friend.

Your Hosts -Pete and Marlena Libby work hard to make you feel welcomed and comfortable when you visit the Ranch.
Enjoy home cooked meals, trail rides, and activities such as casino night, camp fires, hay rides and dance night that involve kids and adults alike.
The Ranch keeps about 50 horses at any given time, with riding from beginners on up. Even if you have never been on a horse, no worries, there are new riders every week.
Two trail rides are offered daily, with a breakfast ride once during the week. A pony is available for the little ones to "trail ride" around the ranch.
Sport activities include volleyball, softball, tennis, archery, basketball, ping-pong, horseshoes and frisbee. The beach is great for toddlers since the lake starts off at zero grade. There is a canoe and a paddleboat available for guest use.
Many games are played at the Ranch - along with the Friday night guest speed show, capture the flag, ranch trivia and Horseballs are a few favorites. Non-ranch activities such as, canoeing, river rafting, golf and shopping are available within reasonable distance.
